About the IP Cell
The Intellectual Property (IP) Cell at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (mLAC) was proudly established in strategic association with the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST).
Our primary mission is to provide dedicated facilitation and expert guidance to anyone within our academic community interested in matters of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The Cell offers active, hands-on assistance in protecting the unique innovations, research outputs, and intellectual property of our students, scholars, and esteemed faculty members.
Core Objectives
To cultivate a vibrant, legally protected culture of innovation on campus, the IP Cell operates with the following strategic objectives:
- Promote Awareness: To actively promote awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among students and faculty across all disciplines.
- Facilitate Protection: To seamlessly facilitate patent filing and comprehensive IP protection for original innovations and technologies developed at mLAC.
- Drive Commercialization: To robustly support technology transfer and the successful commercialization of viable research outputs.
- Continuous Education: To regularly organize specialized workshops, state-level seminars, and training programs on critical IPR topics.
