Required Eligibility & Guidelines

Team Structure

  • Composition: A group of up to 4 students, guided by a mentor teacher.
  • Interdisciplinary Requirement: The project team must consist of students from a minimum of two different subject combinations (e.g., Biotechnology + Chemistry; Zoology + Botany; Mathematics + Physics/Computer Science).
  • Restriction: Individual student projects are not encouraged and will not be considered.
  • Limit: Each project team may submit only one proposal, which must align with the indicated themes. Any other proposals are liable for rejection.

Student Eligibility

  • All students currently enrolled in mLAC UG/PG courses (e.g., B.A., B.Com, BBA, B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Com, Languages, and M.A.) are eligible to apply.

Proposal Preparation & Submission

  • Format: Project proposals must be prepared strictly according to the "m-ROOTS" proposal format available on the mLAC website.
  • Submission Method: Submission of the project proposal through the designated Google Form is mandatory. Proposals submitted via other methods (e.g., hardcopy) will not be considered.
  • Approval: All proposals must be submitted only after receiving approval from the project guide and the college.

Processing Fees

  • Amount: ₹200/- per student (e.g., a group of 4 students requires a total fee of ₹800/-).
  • Payment Method: Fees must be paid via NEFT transfer or UPI Payment directly to UCO BANK. (Bank details are provided in the "m-ROOTS" proposal format).
  • Documentation: A softcopy of the proposal along with proof of payment must be submitted.
  • Policy: Processing fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Evaluation Process

  • All submitted proposals will be placed before an expert committee.
  • Only project proposals that are found satisfactory and clear the expert committee evaluation will be shortlisted for the final exhibition.
