The Third year B.Sc Physics students visited ICTS to attend Vishveshwara lectures on observing the birth of universe on 22-01-2019.The students and the faculty had a good interaction with the speaker. They were able to know the current research works being carried in the field of Astronomy and Cosmology. The students found greater interest in understanding cosmic models microwave background (CMB), which brings us a picture of the primordial universe.
They also gained knowledge on how CMB can be exquisitely imaged and confront cosmological models with observations. Students also learnt how cosmological model is so precise that we can use the cosmos as laboratory to search for new phenomena such as primordial Gravitational waves. Thestudents were very enthusiastic and the visit was motivational for their further study and research
