The program is designed to meet the requirements of the rapidly changing mass media industry in the view of new digital era. It provides platform for students to become innovative, creative and industry oriented with through theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

The main aim to introduce the program is to produce postgraduates with advanced knowledge and understanding of Journalism and Mass Communication, ability to think rigorously and independently to meet or involve with greater level expectations of media industry, academics, research and to excel in the field of entrepreneurial route.

  • To provide hands-on skill-based training to students
  • Skill-based training is adapted to teach students (Practical classes, interactive sessions, Media Visits, Short Video/Documentary, Photo Magazine, Workshop, Report writing, current affairs discussion, PPT, and projects)

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the bachelor’s degree examination of Bangalore University or any other University recognised as equivalent with 55% of marks in aggregate of any subject shall be eligible for admission.

  • The student as a communication learner shall understand the importance of ethical values, awareness, Media Laws, Media Acts, Media issues, and its application in professional life 
  • Every Journalism graduate has to be converted into a lifelong learner and constantly updated with current knowledge and  skills
