The Department of Physics, mLAC Autonomous, Bangalore is one of the nodal centers for the outreach program of Indian institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a unit of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Dept. of Space (DOS), Government of India

“IIRS is a premier training, education and research organization established to prepare professionals in the field of Remote Sensing, Geo-informatics and GPS technologies and their applications. IIRS outreach programme focuses on strengthening the academia and user segments in space technology & its applications using online learning platforms”.

The major benefits of this program are free online conduction of classes, E-certification for the candidates who clear online examination, sessions by faculty of IIRS and other premier institutes.
